Needless to say, it's not my plant. It's Mom's. 
Maybe her plants grow so well and bloom because she talks to them?!

or like
' aren't you a delightful little plant?!! yes you are!! yes you are!!! '
If I were a plant, I would be deeply offended by being spoken to like that.
But they seem to love it.....
